As a medical school drop-out, I embarked on a journey that led me to become a Licensed Esthetician, Brow Queen, and Skin Guru. Despite encountering failures along the way, each experience guided me toward success. After leaving my pursuit of becoming a medical doctor in 2015, I found myself drawn to the world of aesthetics. After completing my program and obtaining my license in 2016, I still felt unsure of how to navigate this new path.

However, it was during my first job as an esthetician that my passion for brows and skin treatments truly blossomed. Skin treatments became my first love in the industry, and I always knew I wanted to create something that was organic, ideal for all skin types, and customizable. This is where the name “Carbon” originated; carbon is present in all organic elements, and I wanted that essence to be reflected. It turns out that being a science nerd pays off sometimes! I never anticipated that this would become my art.

In 2017, I took a leap of faith and opened Carbon in Flint Township, despite not having any clients and not knowing anyone in Genesee County. It felt reminiscent of the feeling I had when I impulsively decided to leave medical school—lost in direction, yet determined to succeed. I wholeheartedly embraced everything I wanted to bring to my business, and soon after, I discovered Kelley Baker, a renowned celebrity brow artist. For an entire year, I diligently saved money to attend her masterclass in 2019, and it was truly a transformative experience. Kelley Baker redefined my art and instilled a newfound confidence in my craft. I like to think that I incorporate the KBB method with my own unique touch of brow artistry.

From the beginning, I envisioned shedding new light on the mundane brow waxing experience by understanding the anatomy and growth patterns of brows, particularly for those who fell victim to the trends of the 90s—because I was once in their shoes. My specialization lies in brow rehabilitation, acne and hyperpigmentation treatments, as well as anti-aging skincare.

My journey has been one of self-discovery, learning, and continuous growth. I am dedicated to providing exceptional services that enhance the beauty and confidence of my clients.
